Charlton's U18s suffered a 2-1 defeat against Bristol City at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.
The youthful Addicks side took the lead early on through Raynon Richman following a quick counter attack. Ellis McMillan slipped the ball out to the wideman on the halfway line and he drove towards goal, before wrapping wrapping his strike in at the far post.
Bristol City responded in rapid fashion, drawing level just six minutes later. The ball was knocked into the Charlton box and after a series of strikes had been blocked, the ball fall to Harry Hogg who fired in on the turn.
With 10 minutes remaining, the visitors netted the winner as Charlie Filer raced onto a lofted ball and slotted back across goal to claim maximum points for the Robins.
Jason Pearce's team return to action at Sparrows Lane on Saturday when they host Colchester United (KO 11am GMT).
