Patrick Casey hit four goals as Charlton's U18s defeated Swansea City in a nine-goal thriller on Saturday.
Casey fired the young Addicks in front early on from an indirect free-kick, but the hosts hit back immediately when Jack Fanning rose highest to send a header into the top of the net.
The hosts then took the lead minutes later when Thomas Woodward cut inside and steered a shot into the far corner.
Arthur Parker saw a header clip a post for Swansea, before Ewan Griffiths did well to keep out Casey’s free-kick from distance.
But the leveller soon arrived when Charlton were awarded a penalty for a push in the box from a corner and Casey coolly onverted the spot-kick.
The Swans got their noses in front again just before half- time when Josh Pescatore showed good strength to hold off a Charlton defender before firing home.
The young Addicks, though, were level on the hour-mark, an unmarked Casey drilling past Griffiths to bag his hat-trick, before Charlton made it 4-3 when Alan Mwamba took a touch before flashing a shot beyond the Swansea keeper.
Jason Pearce's side had their fifth with 10 minutes to go when substitute Jadon Yamoah capitalised on a loose ball to tap in.
Casey got his fourth and Charlton’s sixth in the dying seconds, bravely sliding in at the near post to beat Griffiths.
