Below are some of the talking points.
On what he told his players at full-time…
“I’ve said to the players ‘we should be higher in the league’ because we’re a good side. Now they have to start believing because we’ve got a good chance of staying in the league and maybe doing something a bit different.”
On his aims for this season…
“We have to get to the points we need to keep us in the division. Once we get to that we’ll reevaluate where we are but I’m happy with the points we’ve got at the moment. Once we start getting some more players back I think we’ve got a chance of going on a bit of a run. The games we have just played have been crazy and we’ve been in every game.”
On completing his three-game touchline ban…
"I’m looking forward to getting back down there. It’s good (in the gantry), the view is good and it benefits. I’m looking forward to getting back down there so they can start hearing my voice again.”
On the Charlton fans…
“The fans were unbelievable again today. To travel all this way, I’d have felt for them if they’d seen us leave with nothing because they didn’t stop all game.”
On goalkeeper Dillon Phillips who made two crucial saves at the start of the second half to keep the score at 1-0…
“Dillon did the same on Wednesday (against Bristol City), he made two outstanding saves and he did the same today. Again, that’s what he’s paid to do but they were two very, very good saves and he’s getting better all the time. I’m really pleased for Dill because he works hard every day.”
