Lee Bowyer has handed four players Charlton debuts for today’s game against Wigan Athletic at The Valley.
It has been a busy transfer window for the Addicks' boss, with nine players joining the club, since Thomas Sandgaard took over three weeks ago.
Andrew Shinnie and Paul Smyth, who joined Charlton on transfer deadline day, both start and are joined in the line-up by fellow debutants Ryan Inniss and Chris Gunter.
A much-changed Charlton team could line-up in a number of different ways. If Bowyer opts to play 3-5-2, Innis, skipper Darren Pratley and Akin Famewo would likely start as a defensive three in front of Ben Amos, coming off a Man-of-the-Match performance against Sunderland.
Gunter and Alfie Doughty would operate as wing backs, with a midfield three of Ben Watson, Shinnie and Jake Forster-Caskey. Smyth is expected to partner Chuks Aneke up front. If Bowyer plays a 4-4-2 or 4-diamond-2, then Pratley may well move into midfield, with Gunter and Doughty moving to full backs.
The Charlton bench is made up of Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Ben Purrington, Albie Morgan, Dylan Levitt, Jonny Williams, Conor Washington and Omar Bogle.
Jason Pearce and Alex Gilbey remain on the sidelines through injury and have been joined by Deji Oshilaja, who suffered an injury against Sunderland and Marcus Maddison who picked up a minor ankle injury in training.
Charlton: Amos; Inniss, Pratley, Famewo; Gunter, Shinnie, Watson, Forster-Caskey, Doughty; Aneke, Smyth
