Charlton Athletic are pleased to announce that KW Consultancy and Walker Mower will be the club’s front-of-shirt partners for the 2021/22 season.
KW Consultancy and Walker Mower are family-owned businesses run by the Wisdom family who are long-standing Charlton fans.
KW Holdings was on the front of the club’s home shirt last season and KW Consultancy will be on the front of the Addicks’ brand new hummel home shirts and third shirts for 2021/22, while Walker Mower will appear on the front of the club’s new away shirts.
Charlton’s Commercial Director, Wayne Mumford, said: “The Wisdom family have a long-standing history with this football club and stepped in when the club needed them most last season, before the takeover of Thomas Sandgaard gave Charlton stability.
“They are true Charlton supporters and want to be on this new, exciting journey with us, so I am delighted that KW Consultancy and Walker Mower will be worn proudly on the front of our shirts next season.”
Keith Wisdom, who was born in Plumstead in 1949, has been an Addick all his life. In 2019, Keith sold one of his successful businesses 25 years after setting it up and formed K Wisdom Holdings to oversee his other business interests - Vitech Services [which appeared on the front of the club’s 2020/21 away strip), Walker Mower, K Wisdom Developments, K Wisdom Consulting and K Wisdom Properties.
Walker Mower is a consulting engineering practice specialising in mechanical, electrical, MEP and other associated elements for the construction industry. The company provides professional services to the industry throughout the United Kingdom.
Keith Wisdom said: “The memorable 2020/21 season saw the continuation of Covid and lockdowns, it saw us miss out on the play-offs so agonisingly but also heralded the arrival of Thomas Sandgaard, and, subsequently, Nigel Adkins. All of these factors left me feeling there was an element of ‘unfinished business’ with regards to my shirt sponsorship of Charlton Athletic. We are all hopeful of a more stable, and ultimately more successful season, as we progress in our new era and this is something I am immensely excited to be a part of for 2021/2022.”
His son, Steve, a lifelong Charlton fan added: "The opportunity to continue the shirt sponsorship arose once again and this is just such an exciting time at the club that we were delighted to be a part of it again. The various ups and downs of the previous few seasons will soon be a thing of the past and so being a part of the club that has been at the heart of the family and it's businesses for my entire life is something special. Here's to a happy, and healthy, season.”
The first of Charlton’s new strips for the 2021/22 season will be revealed on Monday.
