The club caught up with Eartha Cumings ahead of today’s FA Women’s Championship clash away to Durham (12pm).
The Addicks go into Sunday’s game having won their first ever professional game last weekend, as Karen Hills’ side beat Coventry United 3-1 at The Oakwood in Crayford.
On Sunday’s historic win, Cumings said: “I think everyone was just really buzzing, you could probably see it on the pitch. Everyone was just feeling fantastic because it has been such a long time coming and it just meant so much to all of the players and staff and everybody involved.
“I’ve been feeling really good, training has been good this week and we’re really looking forward to another game and obviously Durham are a really good side so it’s going to be another difficult test but I think we’re all ready for it and really looking forward to it.
“Durham are a physical side but I feel like everybody in this team is a professional athlete so we too can play football physically. I don’t think that’s necessarily an issue for us, we should be able to match them off the ball and on the ball.”
