Charlton Athletic can confirm the official squad numbers and co-captains of the women's team ahead of the 2023/24 season opener against Sheffield United at The Valley on Sunday.
Kate Longhurst and Kiera Skeels have been confirmed as co-captains for the 2023/24 campaign.
The co-captain role will see one player being nominated as the captain ahead of each matchday.
Kate Longhurst expressed her delight in the appointment by saying: "It’s a real privilege to be given the joint captaincy with Keira. I’ve been made to feel so welcome since joining the club and I hope the team can feel how much I enjoy being here. I’m looking forward to the season ahead which hopefully can be a successful one!"
Kiera Skeels also added her excitement: "I’m so grateful for this opportunity and for the trust that Karen and the rest of the coaching staff have put in me. I’m excited to work closely with Kate and to learn from her and the experience she has in the game."
