Charlton’s U21s fell to a 2-0 defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.
Tommy McDermott netted each side of the interval to earn the hosts all three points in Lancashire.
McDermott and Burnley’s first came after 14 minutes, when the midfielder fired into the bottom-left corner after being found by Vernon Masara.
The Clarets doubled their advantage 10 minutes after the restart through McDermott, who converted his spot-kick beyond Henry Molyneux.
Chris Lock’s U21s are next in action on Friday, travelling across London to take on QPR.
